2024-2025  SABRE HOCKEY ASSOCIATION  JSHL PROGRAM

The JSHL serves as an introductory hockey program for our youngest athletes who are eager to work towards travel hockey in their future, and as a bridge program for any older athletes under the age of 10 who may have just learned how to skate and are eager to learn what it’s like to be a part of a hockey team. The JSHL offers in-house hockey training and games with a much smaller time and financial commitment than travel hockey.

We are very excited to announce the expansion of our Junior Sabres House League (JSHL) for the 2024-2025 Season, adding a division of teams at Rocket Ice Arena as well as our All Seasons division. The expansion will help families choose the best location and schedule for their families’ logistical needs, and create some cross-division events to add even more excitement to our JSHL season.

Each year our JSHL is broken down into different divisions, and defining those divisions is entirely dependent on the breakdown of participation. Our Hockey Committee is always prepared with multiple plans to ensure that all kids under 10 years of age will have a place in the JSHL. Following JSHL Evaluations, players will be divided into 4 evenly distributed teams within competitively appropriate divisions based on both age and ability

• Evaluations will be held September 7th and 8th.
• Practices will begin on Tuesday, September 17.
• The Season will run from September 17 through March 9.
• There will be weeks with no programming due to holidays.
• All Seasons Teams will train on Tuesday and Friday evenings, with Games on Sunday mornings.
• Rocket Teams will train on Monday and Wednesday evenings, with Games on Saturday mornings.
• Cross-Division events can be held on both Saturday or Sunday mornings.
• Team Coaches will be volunteer based. Foundational training plans will be directed by the Sabre Hockey Committee. *There will be an option during registration to volunteer to help coach.
• In-house games are Half-Ice to encourage more puck touches and developing our beginning skaters fine motor skills.
• All teams will participate in their respective JSHL Championship Sunday

A Non-Refundable $100 Evaluation Fee will be due at the time of registration (included in pricing above). Fee will be waived for any player placed in the JSHL from travel tryouts.  

*Jr Sabre House League (JSHL) Registration will remain open based on availability.

The program cost can be paid in full or a payment plan of 6 months can be set up at time of registration. Payments will be automatically deducted on 9/27, 10/27, 11/27, 12/27, 1/27 & 2/27
